It’s that time of year, but we do things a little differently. Our Vacation Bible School runs all summer long (June and July) every wednesday night. We still get done within an hour, perhaps an hour and fifteen minutes, and no one gets worn out from a week long, two or two and a half hour production. We alternate between the selected bible lesson one week and a craft or other reinforcing project the next. Our theme this year is “Castaway Bay, Where faith conquers fear and all doubts are cast away.” Our stage is set as a deserted island, mon, with a lone castaway (in fact we borrow heavily from Tom Hanks for various scenes in our main skit each night). How many other churches our there might be conducting VBS in this kind of format?
